Schwarzenegger’s Career Move & More

Schwarzenegger’s Career Move & More

Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger put his movie comeback on hold Thursday as he deals with fallout from his affair with his housekeeper and braces for what could be a costly divorce.

A statement from Schwarzenegger's office said the former "Terminator" star has asked his talent agency to put all his motion picture projects that are currently under way or being negotiated on hold until further notice.

"Gov. Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines," the statement said. "This includes `Cry Macho,' the `Terminator' franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Gov. Schwarzenegger decides."

The revelation that Schwarzenegger fathered a child with his housekeeper also set the stage for what could be a big-money divorce case that will stand out even in a city that has seen its share of made-for-the-tabloid s matrimonial splits.

His wife, Maria Shriver, the Kennedy heiress and former network TV anchor, stands to cash in big time financially, according to several prominent divorce attorneys. Although, California is a no-fault divorce state, meaning her husband's acknowledged philandering technically can't be used against him in court, the reality, attorneys say, is that it will be.

"Every judge would know about what happened and I think would hold it against him," said attorney Robert Nachshin, who has represented the ex-wives of a who's who of entertainers that includes Will Smith, Rod Stewart, John Ritter and Eddie Vedder. "Judges are human beings, and Maria will definitely be the sympathetic spouse."

Based on his experience, Nachshin said, Shriver should expect to receive at least $100,000 a month in spousal support and, with three children under the age of 18, probably $40,000 or more in child support.

Then there's the division of the couple's property, including the Brentwood mansion that Shriver and her children moved from earlier this year.

Nachshin said that could be affected by a prenuptial agreement, if the couple signed one when they were married in 1985. Many such agreements call for people to keep what would otherwise be joint assets separate after marriage.

Shriver won the sympathy vote when Schwarzenegger revealed this week he had fathered a 13-year-old son with a housekeeper who had worked for his family for 20 years and that until earlier this year he had never told his wife about the boy.

"It seems to me that he has gratuitously embarrassed her. This should greatly enhance settlement negotiations," said Atlanta attorney John Mayoue, who has represented Chris Rock in a paternity suit, baseball star David Justice in his split with actress Halle Berry, and other celebrities.

Neither Schwarzenegger nor Shriver indicated whether they planned to divorce when they announced their separation a week before word of the bodybuilder-actor-po litician's out-of-wedlock child surfaced.

However, People magazine reported Wednesday that Shriver has retained prominent Los Angeles divorce attorney Laura Wasser.

Wasser did not return phone calls from The Associated Press, and Shriver's spokesman declined to comment on the report.

Wasser has represented Christina Aguilera, Mel Gibson's estranged wife, Robyn, and brokered the child-custody agreement Britney Spears reached with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Her specialty is keeping details of celebrity splits secret, and Nachshin said that's what Schwarzenegger should strive to achieve. He suggested that if the former star of the "Terminator" films is smart, he would seek to have divorce proceedings handled privately by a retired family law judge, keep his mouth shut in public and tell the truth in court.

"Because courts go crazy if people lie," he said.

Celebrity divorces have become a specialty of retired judges because they can be conducted in private, although the final resolution must, like any other divorce, be made public.

In the past celebrities and the wealthy have gone to great lengths to keep the details of their divorces private, with mixed results.

Billionaire supermarket magnet Ron Burkle tried unsuccessfully to keep 1,200 pages of his divorce transcript from being released to the public when the California Supreme Court ruled against him.

In allowing the documents to be unsealed, the state high court struck down a law that would have kept them from the public. Ironically, the law was signed by Schwarzenegger.

jennifer lawrence katniss

jennifer lawrence katniss

Jennifer lawrence katniss. Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss Everdeen in ‘The Hunger Games’
It’s official. Katniss Everdeen, a 21st century literary figure almost on par with Harry Potter or Edward Cullen, will be played by a 20-year-old Oscar nominee. Jennifer Lawrence, who rose to fame very quickly after a stunning, Oscar-nominated performance in the Sundance 2010 award-winner Winter’s Bone, has been cast as the lead character in The Hunger Games, director Gary Ross‘s adaptation of the popular young adult novel written by Suzanne Collins. Lawrence had long been rumored to be the front runner for the role and her accepting it was all but certain as of this past weekend. According to The Wrap, who broke the news, the papers were signed and sealed on Wednesday. Details were not revealed, but it’s believed she’s signed on for a trilogy of films.

So what does this mean for the franchise about an all powerful government who flexes its muscles by forcing children to kill each other for sport live on television? We speculate and more after the jump.

Meet Arnold's mistress

Meet Arnold's mistress
Meet Arnold's mistress. So apparently THIS (see photo above) is the housekeeper AND baby mama of Arnold’s love child who worked for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver for twenty some years. RadarOnline.com is reporting that Mildred Patricia Baena (who goes by Patti) retired back in January of this year and two sources have confirmed that she is the mother of a 10 year old boy who was created with Arnold’s wandering willy.

Yeah I’m not so sure why he got down and dirty with Patty…if it was the way she folded his underwear or the way she ironed his button down shirts, but there must have been something that he thought she had that Maria Shriver didn’t.

Get this, TMZ is reporting that this whole sneaky AND unprotected sex thing went on for years. But it was when Patty got pregnant that she didn’t tell Arnold that he was the father of her babe. In fact, it wasn’t until the boy was a toddler that he found out. In other words, Arnold knew for about eight years that this kid was his.

Patty is said to have made some decent cash while working for the family and Arnold was very generous. Well duh. He should have been knowing that THAT kid is his!

The young boy has not been identified and we will not post the photo of the kid here. But good gawd. She sure as heck doesn’t look like Arnold’s type, not that I am sure what his type really is after all this hot mess.

Dancing With the Stars predictions season 12

Dancing With The Stars Season 12: Ralph Macchio Winner Predictions

Best known for his role in the Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio has actually been in more than 30 movies and TV shows. During the 1980’s there were few young stars hotter than Macchio. He was in The Outsiders, Teachers, Crossroads and three different Karate Kid movies. In the mid 90’s his career cooled off, but he now seems determined to make a comeback and Dancing with the Stars Season 12 might be the perfect way to reintroduce him to the public.

Ralph Macchio is now 49 years old and has been recently tackling roles that better suit his age. He was very funny in Beer League and has recently made some guest appearances on other TV shows. Dancing with the Stars Season 12 returns him to prime time and I have a feeling he is going to be very committed to the show and do a good job on it. He should have a lot of fans who grew up on his movies watching so even if it takes him a few weeks to settle in I would expect he and his partner Karina Smirnoff to go deep into competition.

Jenna Fischer's pregnancy

Jenna Fischer & John Krasinski Talk ‘Office’ Pregnancy

“Pam is pregnant,” Jenna told the Dish. “She’s due in February.”

But Scranton’s new mom-to-be isn’t the only one expecting.

“My sister Emily is pregnant in real life and she is due with her real baby at the same time I’m due with my fictional baby,” Jenna explained, adding that they’ve worked her sister’s experiences into the show. “So I call her and say, ‘Pam is 5 months pregnant, how do you feel?’ It’s been fun to bond with my sister over. We’re kind of pregnant at the same time.”

However, John Krasinski said prepping for TV fatherhood hasn’t been as easy for him.

“I have no one to steal from, no one I know is pregnant,” he admitted.

Still, when asked if he was going to gain “sympathy weight,” he said he was up for the challenge.

“I’m going to gain 30 pounds,” John joked.

While he’ll be a TV dad this February on “The Office,” he’s a father of a different sort this week – his directorial debut, “Brief Interviews With Hideous Men,” hits select theaters this Friday.
